An MHK is calling on the Chief Minister to set out government’s position following the collapse of the Vision Nine TT deal.
Douglas East representative Chris Robertshaw has tabled an urgent motion which he’ll put to the House of Keys when it sits this morning.
Yesterday the Department of Economic Development revealed the deal – which would have seen the private promoter handed the TT and Classic TT – had been shelved.
It’s understood Vision Nine is now taking legal action.
Mr Roberthsaw says he’s tabled the motion in light of the ‘current and extremely negative and confused publicity’ surrounding the failed plan.
Motions of this nature are allowed if the matter is deemed of ‘urgent public importance’ - if four Members back his plan the House of Keys will debate the issue immediately.
