That's the question Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper wants answered.
He's submitted a question for written response to Treasury Minister Alex Allinson about the number of people given exemptions for residence criteria for benefits applications in the last five years.
Generally, people claiming benefits need to have lived on the Isle of Man for five years to qualify.
