The doors haven’t closed on more private investment for the Lord Street car park site in Douglas.
That's despite a consultation being launched this week which is asking for the public's opinion on putting a new bus interchange on the prime site.
It has served as a car park since the former bus terminal was demolished over a decade ago.
More recently the site had been earmarked for a hotel, restaurant and retail complex but this proposal has since been withdrawn.
However MHK Laurence Skelly says the site could be utilised for more than just a bus station:
