An Onchan MHK has called the person responsible for a gratified speed pole in the village as an 'absolute genius'.
It comes following Rob Callister accusing the Department of Infrastructure of 'losing its way', after a 20 mph sign was installed right in the middle of a pavement.
Now, the misplaced 20mph speed limit pole has been graffitied with the name of the Island's Infrastructure minister - Michelle Haywood.
The word's 'Haywood’s Folly’ have been sprayed in front of the pole, who’s proposing the rollout of traffic restrictions.
After briging attention to the issue, the DOI Minister confirmed it was positioned incorrectly and would be removed.
However, instead of doing so, the post was simply tarmacked over instead.
Now, Mr Callister says some believe he's resonsible - dubbing him the new 'Banksy' of Onchan.
However, he's says 'sadly' it wasn't him behind the artwork, but says whoever is deserves an 'MBE for services to the community of Onchan'.
He adds if it had been him, he would have 'added flowers around the pole, posed for a photo and sent it to every media outlet on the island.'
