A Ramsey MHK has apologised for delays bringing forward proposed changes to the Island's abortion laws.
Dr Alex Allinson had hoped to steer a private member's bill through its first reading in the House of Keys later this year.
However, he now says the planned legislation won't go before MHKs until January.
He took to Twitter to apologise for taking so long to draft the law - sparking support from campaigners, both on and off the Island.
Sorry it's taken so long. In the 10 months since I started this dozens of women will have had to cross the Irish sea for terminations that should have been done safely on the island and with the right support. https://t.co/Z1e1V468Sw
