Manx Grand Prix Organisers have announced it was rider Garry Broughton who was involved in the red flag incident during yesterday evening's qualifying.
He came off his Supertwin bike at Joey’s 26th milestone and was first taken to Noble’s Hospital for assessment.
The Leicester man has now been transferred to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool.
His condition is reported as serious.
