The decision to scale back the Manx Grand Prix came after "extensive consultation", the government has confirmed.
Last week it was announced the August event will be shortened from 14 days to nine and the Classic TT brand will not be included.
The changes are designed to reduce the cost of the event and lessen the impact of road closures.
In the House of Keys this week, the enterprise minister said the "root and branch review" involved a number of focus groups including riders, teams, industry, press, sponsors, race officials and contractors.
Dr Alex Allinson said the meetings took place via video conference during the island's first lockdown.
The event is scheduled to take place between 21 and 29 August and will be organised by ACU Events Ltd.
