They were forced to bring an end to the twice daily Isle of Man to Liverpool crossings as they hadn’t seen the financial growth they’d anticipated.
The service came to an end yesterday.
Whilst in operation they managed to attract some of the Steam Packet’s top customers casting doubt and uncertainty among the company and it’s employees.
The union chief representing the steam packet workers told 3FM that the news is cause for celebration.
