The Met Office says snow will fall over higher ground later today.
In its forecast, it says wintry showers will develop this evening and continue overnight, falling as rain or sleet at lower levels.
However, on higher ground it will fall as snow, giving some slight accumulations.
The snow and sleet will continue on Saturday and possibly into Sunday.
