The Steam Packet says wind and tides in the Mersey mean passengers are currently stuck aboard the Manannan.
In a statement, the Steam Packet Company says the Manannan berthed in Liverpool, but the vessel's master was worried about ship movements because of the conditions.
As a result, passengers stopped getting off the boat and have been offered refreshments.
The company says it'll continue disembarking passengers when it's safe to do so - but today's remaining Liverpool sailings will be affected.
