A memorial garden has opened in Manchester in memory of murdered PCs Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes.
Former
Port St Mary resident Miss Bone was murdered along with her colleague while on
duty in Greater Manchester in September.
Her
father Paul was at the opening of the garden yesterday and described it as a
"wonderful lasting tribute” to his daughter and her
co-worker.
Mr
Bone thanked police for their help following the tragedy and said the family was
very grateful for the help and support they’d received since his daughter’s
death.
Prayers and a minute’s silence also took place at
a special service afterwards.
