Today will see the Communication Workers Union hold a meeting for its Post Office members.
An overwhelming majority voted in favour of strike action earlier in the month, they’re now being urged by the Post Office chiefs to seriously re-think this decision.
Earlier last week the Post Office Chairman Alan Crowe MLC invited talks with CWU rep Terry Pullinger, he said however they must be held under the backdrop of the public sector pay freeze.
Speaking to 3FM Terry Pullinger said the purpose of the meeting is to keep the members upto date with the current developments.
They will be assessing what has happened since strike action got the yes vote and seeing what needs to happen to progress that outcome.
