May airport figures remain unchanged on 2011 numbers

The Isle of Man Airport has revealed practically unchanged figures for the month of May when compared to last year.

Just shy of 59,000 passengers passed through the airport, representing just 35 fewer than last year.

Although minimal it is still the second month of decline for the airport.

It was however expected not to be a particularly busy May with the popular London City route not operated for the majority of the month until it was picked up again by British Airways on the 28th.

The Northwest routes dominated the air traffic, with over 1,850 more passengers using the Manchester and Liverpool routes.
