Canon David Green to Appear Back in Court on September 7th
Canon David Green, the former Vicar of Maughold Parish Church has appeared in court for the first time this morning.
The 55 year old faces 8 counts of theft, and 10 of false accounting following a lengthy investigation into financial irregularities within the Maughold Burial Authority, the investigation took longer than originally anticipated due to Canon Green falling ill.
The total figure of money said to be taken is known to be over £10,000, the specific sum is yet to be established.
The High Bailiff adjourned the case until September 7th when the mode of trial will be determined.
Canon Green had a £1000 bail granted.
