The issue is set for more political debate in the first Tynwald sitting of 2022.
MHK for Arbory, Castletown and Malew, Jason Moorhouse, is scheduled to ask the Education Minister what is being done to increase mask wearing in schools and on school buses.
Earlier this month, Minister Julie Edge revealed that only between 20-50% of students are wearing masks in schools.
Under current restrictions, pupils are 'expected' to wear them, with the exception of years 1-4 and primary school children.
