Respiratory Problems For Cav Out of British Squad
Mark Cavendish's record breaking season has come to an unexpected halt through illness.
Cav has been forced to pull out of the road cycling World Championships through illness.
The Manx missile had been named in the British squad to compete in Sunday's road race, it would appear however the lung infection that ruled him out of completing the Tour of Missouri has also put a stopper on this.
It's hoped this will be only a minor glitch in an otherwise flawless season, which saw him take 6 stages at the Tour De France and three at the Giro d'Italia.
