The infrastructure minister insists changes will only be made to Marine Drive if they have a ‘fairly broad level of support’

A consultation was held on whether to permanently close the road to motor vehicles in support of government’s Active Travel Strategy.

Tim Baker claims it was a worthwhile exercise regardless of the outcome, with the document attracting more than 600 responses.

He hopes a scheme can be found that can deliver ‘the benefits without the downsides’:
