A Manxwoman and her steed have won a global equestrian competition.
25-year-old Yasmin Ingham and her horse, Banzai del Loir claimed Individual Gold at the FEI Eventing World Championship in Rome this weekend.
It’s the first time Yasmin has ever competed in a world championship - Banzai is also owned by Manx residents Sue Davies and her daughter Janette Chinn.
She beat Olympic champion Julia Krajewski of Germany, who took the silver medal aboard Amande de B’Neville, and the bronze medal was awarded to Tim Price of New Zealand and Falco.
Congratulations to #IsleofMan born and bred Yasmin Ingham who - with Banzai du Loir, a horse owned by Island resident Sue Davies and her daughter Janette Chinn - have won Individual Gold at the FEI World Championships making Yasmin Eventing World Champion 🌍👏🥇🏇🇮🇲🇬🇧 #Manx pic.twitter.com/cmOXEVDTit
