A local man will be representing the island in the "Ultimate Firefighter Competition" in Alabama, USA today.
Manx Fireman Elliott Moore will be competing in what is described as a "gruelling four-round test of strength, endurance, and firefighting skill".
He will be going up against top athletes from emergency services around the globe.
This mark's Elliot's 4th contest, having previously competed in Belfast, Fairfax and Los Angeles.
