Manx Telecom has issued an apology following on from a technical glitch which caused their Parish Walk timing website to crash.
It meant that followers were unable to track the progress of the walkers.
They say it’s down to an unprecedented amount of website traffic, with over 36,600 hits representing three times last year’s figure.
Marketing Director David Smith said he appreciated the inconvenience and annoyance caused by the problem and said a full review would be conducted to prevent it occurring again.
