A classic TV series written by a Manx author will be getting a reboot on the BBC later this year.
Quatermass was created by Nigel Kneale, who was raised in Douglas and educated at St Ninian's High School.
He terrified audiences in the 1950s with his tale of sci-fi horror - and the hero's name Professor Quatermass was inspired by Manx surnames.
BBC America will show a remake of the series starting on December 23 - it's not yet known when or if it'll be shown in Britain.
