A new book which charts how the Isle of Man endured the ordeal of the First World War will go on sale next week.
Manx National Heritage has published ‘This Terrible Ordeal’ as part of the 100 year commemorations.
It features Manx letters, diaries and memories of the war from the personal accountant of men, women and children.
The book launch is the first in a number of events which will showcase the role of Manx people in the war ahead of a major exhibition in February next year.
