Manx National Heritage says the Manx Museum and iMuseum in Douglas have closed for the rest of the day.
The organisation says this is due to infrastructure damage which has affected the water supply to the buildings.
MNH is thanking the public for its patience at this time.
A further update on when the venues can re-open is expected tomorrow morning.
