Manx Man wants 'to be a voice' for disabled people

A disabled man from Ramsey wants to show others in similar situations, anything is possible.

30-year-old Darren James Douglas suffers from Arthrogryposis - a term used to describe a number of conditions that affect the joints, typically affects both the arms and legs and is currently incurable.

The Ramsey man has decided to post videos of himself on social media platform - Tik Tok - showing himself carrying out tasks such as brushing his teeth, to decorating his apartment.

One of his latest videos - showing Daz painting and glossing his flat, using just his mouth has taken Tik Tok by storm - surpassing more than 10m views.

Speaking to 3FM, Darren said he wants to be a voice for disabled people - and wants himself and others to be heard and understood.
