A wristwatch created by a Manx-based watchmaker has set a new record at auction.
The George Daniels Millennium watch, one of just seven her created during his lifetime, sold at Sotheby's yesterday.
Including the buyer's premium, it cost the successful bidder £187,500 - beating the previous record by around £30,000.
The white gold model features yellow gold chapter and calendar rings and came with a letter written by Mr Daniels about the request.
