The Manx language is once again gaining international recognition ahead of a visit by an Australian academic this weekend.
Professor Peter Muhlhausler from the University of Adelaide will deliver the Ned Maddrell Lecture in Douglas.
Language experts say his visit will boost the profile of Manx Gaelic throughout the academic world.
The professor will also visit the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh in St John's during his stay.
