Manx Classic three day race commences today

Manx Classic 2015 competitors are raring to hit the accelerator today.

The first of a three-day event will commence today with the Governor's Sprint in Douglas - where competitors will look to get the fastest lap time. 
 
People are travelling from the UK and Europe to achieve the fastest lap time on three race courses across the Island.
 
Cars from 1911 to 2015 will line up to reach the start line, including a 1922 TT Sunbeam - which is making a return for the Governor's Sprint today.
 
Roads will be closed between Glencrutchery Road, through Governor's Bridge and up to West Drive from 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 9:30pm. 
 
Tomorrow will see the Creg Willey's Hillclimb at Glen Helen - with roads closed from Ballig Bridge to the Cronk y Voddy crossroads between 9am until 5pm. 
 
Saturday sees the Lhergy Frissell Hillclimb in Ramsey - when roads will be closed from Barrule Park to the 26th Milestone for the event between 9am and 6pm. 
 
Patrick Carroll is the chairman of the Manx Motor Racing Club.
