Island charity Beach Buddies has been praised for helping a Cumbria community on a mission to clear rubbish from its shorelines.
The organisation took part in a trip to Ravenglass in Cumbria earlier this month - with Muncaster Parish Council noting the event as a 'big success' at a recent meeting.
As well as conducting a beach clean in the Lake District town, it also set up a new group in the area, met local residents and representatives of Copeland council.
The event earlier this month is estimated to have cleared around one tonne of waste from the coastline.
