Manx Care is issuing brochures to encourage residents to choose the 'right services' this winter.
They include how to get support for things such as self-care, right through to urgent and emergency care and uses a green-amber-red traffic light system.
The small brochure will be delivered by Isle of Man Post Office from next week, and can also be downloaded here. (https://www.gov.im/signposting)
Paul Moore, Manx Care's Executive Director of Nursing and Governance, hopes this will empower people to choose well and not automatically use the Emergency Department for conditions which could be treated elsewhere.
