Manx Care has submitted £12.75m plans to create a new care home in Ramsey to replace Cummal Mooar.
The new facility would be built at the Cooil Ny Marrey site on Waterloo Road, as a result of a land-swap agreement with the Ramsey and Northern Districts Housing Committee.
Subject to approval, this would mean the existing Cooil Ny Marrey building being demolished, as those residents were recently moved to Mayfield.
Manx Care has ensured that there would be minimal disruption to residents, their families and people living in Ramsey.
