Prospect Trade Union is carrying out a consultative ballot to seek the views of its members, who have apparently had enough of ‘meaningless discussions’ with the health body.
Mick Hewer, Negotiations Officer, says there has been no movement, only promises to seek more funding from Treasury, with staff working tirelessly for months during difficult circumstances.
He adds that some members are even receiving invoices for their registration fees with their Christmas cards.
Mr Hewer states that Manx Care need to ‘act now’ and come up with something substantial immediately, or it’s likely their members will take industrial action.
