Manx Care has issued a reminder to patients that babies born in the UK must be registered there before returning to the Isle of Man.
Some pregnant patients are required to attend a UK hospital if they have specialist medical conditions and need to give birth.
In which case it is imperative that they register the birth before coming home, or you'll have to return back within six weeks to complete the process.
Some patients have been told by UK clinicians that this process can be completed on Island, this however is not the case.
If couples are married either parent can register the birth, if unmarried both parents must be present.
