Staff at Hillside Dental Practice have been subject to abuse, as the service is still not up and running after being taken over by Manx Care.
The health body took responsibility for the Douglas practice on December 1 2023, and after successful recruitment hopes to complete the team in the coming weeks.
Work has been undergoing to introduce a new IT system to manage bookings and records, however the new software provider has recently experienced a serious cyber-attack.
Manx Care says the issue has still not been resolved and so can't make contact with patients until a temporary measure is in place.
As a result, the practice can currently only deliver emergency dental services based at the Central Community Health Centre.
Staff have been receiving abuse from some who are unhappy that they've not yet received a check-up appointment, and Manx Care asks that colleagues are shown patience and courtesy.
