Manx Care is appealing to islanders to come foward and give blood in response to low stocks in the UK.
It comes after the shortage of supplies in the UK prompted an amber warning.
Blood supplies have fallen to a critically low level in England, meaning hospitals may have to postpone some non-urgent operations.
A Manx Care spokesman said they are specifically looking for people with O negative or O positive blood type.
If you are feeling fit and well and haven't donated in the last 16 weeks you can attend the drop in centre this afternoon (Wednesday) between 15:00 and 18:00.
It's at the Old Noble’s hospital donor suite.
For further information regarding requirements, you can access a medical questionnaire here.
If you have questions you can leave a message for the team on 650637.
