A Merseyside man has made his second court appearance after being charged with manslaughter.
John Meadows, of Verney Crescent in Allerton, appeared at Douglas Courthouse by live link from prison.
The 53-year-old hasn't yet entered a plea to the manslaughter of 57-year-old Jillian Hughes, a visitor from Merseyside, outside the Palace Hotel on Douglas Promenade on March 29.
The prosecution are still awaiting medical evidence prior to his committal to the Court of General Gaol Delivery due to take place on May 28.
There was no bail application and Mr Meadows was remanded in custody to appear in court again on May7.
