Marine Surveyors from the UK have confirmed that the proposals for the repair of the damage to Manannan are acceptable.
This will mean a 'short period' of the boat in dry dock but the repairs are expected to be completed in time for the 7am sailing to Belfast on Wednesday.
The MV Arrow will continue to handle the freight for the Ben-my-Chree so it can take extra passengers.
Passengers are asked to check their online account for more information about their journeys.
