Passengers travelling on Manannan face longer journey times due to a problem with the boat’s engine.
It’s operating on reduced power after suffering a mechanical issue.
Early indications suggest it is a failed crankshaft – a similar problem to the one which occurred four years ago.
Journey times are now expected to be around 20 minutes longer depending on the tidal conditions.
The Steam Packet Company says it plans to wait until after the Festival of Motorcycling to carry out the repair.
