Passenger numbers low for Thursday\'s extra sailing but fastcraft back on full steam
The number of passengers who used today’s additional Liverpool service was low, with 37 booked on this morning’s Douglas-Liverpool sailing, and 34 passengers booked for the return 11.15 sailing.
Steam Packet Chief Executive Mark Woodward said the company was happy to put on the additional sailing, as the adverse weather conditions earlier in the week caused the cancellation of several sailings.
There's good news for passengers from today; journey times are back to normal for the fastcraft as it's also been confirmed by the company that Manannan is now sailing on full power, using all four engines, after repairs to its gearbox were completed on Wednesday.
