A man who smashed his mother’s house up with an axe has been remanded in custody.
Ryan Kneen of no fixed address appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
At an earlier hearing, the 32 year old admitted criminal damage and resisting police officers on November 6 last year.
Kneen damaged walls and an electrical socket during the incident, which happened shortly before 2am.
When he was arrested a short time later, he kicked out his legs and tried to prevent officers handcuffing him.
There was no bail application and he was remanded in custody until his next appearance on February 23.
