A man who punched a teenager in an unprovoked attack has been warned he could face jail when he appears in court again for sentencing.
Jason Quayle of Reayrt-Ny-Chrink in Crosby appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He’d denied one count of common assault on Marine Parade in Peel on June 16 but was convicted after a trial.
Prosecutor Roger Kane said the 24 year old punched the 17 year old in the head at 11.30pm after shouting at him and telling him “I will take your head off”.
Magistrates heard Quayle was serving a suspended prison sentence for abusing shop staff and spitting at police in April.
They bailed him in the sum of £500 to appear again for sentencing on January 26.
