A man hiding drugs in a Kinder egg capsule tried to hide it from police by inserting it in his behind, a court’s heard.
Liam Richard Kaighin of Empire Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 42 year old admitted possessing heroin, cocaine and cannabis at his home on September 4 when police executed a search warrant.
Officers discovered more than £600 worth of drugs, which Kaighin said was for his own personal use.
His advocate Jim Travers told the hearing his client had managed to wean himself off drugs some years ago but had relapsed after a family tragedy.
Magistrates fined him a total of £400 and ordered him to pay £125 in costs.
