A reveller who went overboard helping his friend in a nightclub fight has been fined.
Allan Durairaj of Palace Terrace in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 39-year-old admitted disorderly behaviour on licensed premises after the melee in 1886 bar in Regent Street on New Year's Eve.
Durairaj saw his friend and another man brawling on the ground and stepped in, punching the man in the face as he lay on the floor.
He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £125 costs.
