A court’s heard a man headbutted a police officer after a drunken row in a Peel supermarket.
Jason Quayle of Reayrt ny Chrink in Crosby appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 24 year old is charged with two counts of assaulting police and one each of possessing cannabis and threatening behaviour on April 5.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing police were called to Shoprite in Michael Street in Peel after staff twice refused to serve Quayle alcohol.
In response, Mr Quayle is said to have become aggressive and abusive, and when he was later found and arrested he allegedly carried out the attacks.
Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 with conditions he doesn’t enter Michael Street in Peel, doesn’t contact witnesses, doesn’t purchase alcohol and doesn’t enter on-licensed premises.
He’ll appear in court again on April 28.
