A man who had two parcels of cannabis intercepted by authorities in under a month has been fined.
Carl Francis Kelch of Clifton Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 31 year old pleaded guilty to producing the class B drug to the Island on September 26 last year and January 12 this year.
The court heard in total more than 55 grammes of cannabis worth around £1,300 was found inside the packages - Kelch told police the drugs were for his own use and he’d bought them for £100 online because prices were too high on the Island.
Magistrates fined him a total of £800 and ordered him to pay costs of £125 at the rate of £10 per week deducted from his benefits.
