A man who allegedly threatened to carry out a stabbing will appear in court again later this year.
Nathan Briggs, of Marathon Road in Douglas, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 24-year-old denies two counts of threatening to use unlawful violence in Market Street in Douglas on March 25.
Barry Swain, prosecuting, said Mr Briggs was involved in an argument when another man tried to intervene – he threatened to stab him and spat at the man’s wife.
The case was adjourned until May 21 and Mr Briggs was bailed in the sum of £500.
