A Liverpool man who broke a bone in a taxi driver’s face during a drunken attack will be sentenced in June.
Stephen Joseph Rooney of Red Rock Street was excused attending court when his case was called by Deemster Cook in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
At an earlier hearing, the 23 year old admitted causing grievous bodily harm on Harris Promenade in Douglas on December 18 last year.
Rooney got into a cab with three others at around 3.45am but got out a short time later after saying he didn’t have a destination.
He then launched an unprovoked attack on the taxi driver.
Deemster Cook bailed him to appear in court again for sentencing on June 24.
