A man who breached the Island’s coronavirus laws shortly after entering the Island has walked free from court.
David Christopher Scott Rowson of The Bretney in Jurby appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link from prison.
He admitted one count of failing to comply with a coronavirus direction on July 17.
Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood told the court the 32 year old got off the ferry from Heysham that evening, and got into a car.
Instead of going to his home address, he was later spotted hanging around the Sea Terminal by security staff.
Magistrates heard unemployed Rowson had already spent five days in custody - they handed him a 10-day jail term which meant he was freed shortly after his court appearance.
