A man’s walked free from court after a charge of assaulting a woman was dropped.
Tristan John Lewis of Ayre View in Bride appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 23 year old had been charged with assault and criminal damage on December 27 last year but prosecutor Chrissie Hunt offered no evidence, saying a prosecution wouldn’t be in the public interest.
The bench marked the charges dismissed.
