A man’s walked free from court after an assault charge was withdrawn by the prosecution.
Colin Kenneth Carson of Tynwald Road in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 53 year old had been charged with assault following an incident outside 1886 Bar and Grill on Regent Street in Douglas on February 20.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing after reviewing the CCTV, he didn’t think there was enough evidence to provide a realistic chance of conviction.
Mrs Hughes marked the allegation as withdrawn.
