A Castletown man has walked free from court after assault allegations against him were withdrawn.
Aaron Paul Field of Derby View appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He hadn’t yet entered a plea to a charge of assaulting his girlfriend on August 31, and the court heard his alleged victim had withdrawn her claim the 22-year-old had grabbed her by the throat during an argument.
Magistrates marked the charge as dismissed and awarded costs to the defence.
